Final Acceptance! — Yidu Overcomes Hydrogen Energy Sensing and Control Technological Challenges, Set for Final Review by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China!

        In 2022, driven by the national hydrogen energy strategy, the Ministry of Science and Technology launched the National Key R&D Program's "Hydrogen Energy Technology" Key Special Project. Yidu Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. undertook the key task of "high-sensitivity optical fiber sensing, fluid control, and manufacturing technology" under the second subject of the "Fuel Cell Testing Technology and Key Component Development" project.


        Currently, this subject has completed on-site verification testing and passed the project's internal acceptance. This achievement marks a significant breakthrough for China in achieving domestic self-sufficiency in the field of key components for fuel cell testing.


        01.Technological Breakthroughs Under the Hydrogen Energy Strategy


        In March 2022, the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration jointly released the "Medium and Long-Term Plan for the Development of the Hydrogen Energy Industry (2021-2035)," which clearly identifies hydrogen energy as a crucial component of the national energy system and prioritizes the low-carbon development of the hydrogen energy and fuel cell vehicle industries.


        Against this backdrop, the project undertaken by Yidu addresses a core challenge in China's hydrogen energy industry development—the high dependency on imported key sensing and fluid control components for integrated fuel cell testing platforms, as well as the existing gaps in testing and evaluation technologies compared to international standards.


        2. Yidu Confronts Technical Challenges


        The core sensing and fluid control components in integrated fuel cell testing platforms have long faced multiple world-class technical challenges:
· High-precision detection of flow sensors: How to break through the precision limits of traditional methods.
· High-precision rapid response control of wide-range flow controllers: How to balance the conflict between large flow ranges and high response speeds.


        Yidu's technical capabilities have been recognized by the National Ministry of Science and Technology, and systematic efforts have been undertaken to address the above challenges. Our core advantages lie in:
· Full-chain independent R&D capabilities: Possessing complete independent research, development, and production capabilities for MFM/MFC.
· Over a decade of technical accumulation: Extensive experience and data accumulation in the field of high-precision laminar flow quality control.
· Laminar flow differential pressure principle: Products are based on the laminar flow differential pressure principle of the Hagen-Poiseuille formula, enabling high-precision, high-repeatability, and high-efficiency gas flow "measurement" and "control."


        03.Innovation in Flow Sensor and Control Technology


         Yidu's R&D team, through meticulously analyzing the core factors affecting flow measurement accuracy, innovatively integrated novel laminar flow element designs with advanced data algorithms. This ultimately achieved a breakthrough in measurement precision, reaching internationally leading standards.


        04.Field test results demonstrate internationally leading performance


        Validation under actual fuel cell operating conditions shows that the integrated high-precision flow controller developed by Yidu delivers exceptional performance, with its core components achieving globally advanced standards. Yidu's world-first MFC enables precise control of ultra-high flow rates up to 6,000L with a single valve. Notably, Yidu's products cover a measurement range spanning nine orders of magnitude (0.0001 ml/s – 100,000 ml/s), meeting the flow rate requirements across various industries. At the same time, they feature millisecond-level response speeds and repeatable accuracy within 0.1%, setting a new precision benchmark for domestically produced flow meters.


        05.Industry Significance and Future Prospects


        With the completion of the project, the widespread adoption of Yidu’s 6,000L flow controller will significantly reduce the testing costs for domestically produced fuel cells and shorten product development cycles.
