What should I do if the alarm light is on?

YIDU Gas Mass Flow Meter (MFM) and Controller (MFC) can diagnose their working status in real time. If users find that the alarm light of YIDU products is on or the product with a screen displays the red "abnormal" word during use, it indicates that the product is in an abnormal working state.

        There may be several reasons for this situation to occur

        Medium temperature exceeds the range

       Except for high temperature and low temperature types, the operating temperature range of YIDU MFM/MFC is between -20 ℃ and 60 ℃. If the gas temperature is below -20 ℃ or above 60 ℃, an alarm will be triggered, which can be judged by observing the temperature value displayed on the upper computer or screen.

      Medium pressure exceeds the range

Except for the high-pressure type, the working pressure range of YIDU MFM/MFC is between 0MPaA and 1MPaA. If the gas pressure exceeds 1MPaA, an alarm will be triggered, which can be judged by observing the pressure value displayed on the upper computer or screen. It should be noted that if the pressure exceeds 1.5MPaA (high-pressure type pressure exceeding 2.5MPaA), there is a possibility of damaging the product.

       Traffic exceeds the range

        YIDU MFM/MFC can work normally within the full range, and the vast majority of products can maintain normal operation between 100% F.S. and 120% F.S. When the flow rate reaches 130% F.S. or above, an alarm will be triggered, and the flow rate value will remain at 130% F.S.

After setting the flow rate of MFC, no gas flows through

      This is a common problem that many users encounter on-site. When there is no ventilation in the pipeline, if a non-zero flow rate is set for the MFC, no matter how the valve is adjusted, it is impossible to reach the set value. Then, the MFC will give an alarm prompt after 1 minute, and the valve will automatically enter a low-power protection state. When the pipeline resumes ventilation, the MFC will resume normal operation. Although the damage to the valve caused by such faults has been reduced through optimized design, it is still recommended that users do not set the flow rate when there is no ventilation.

 Therefore, if the alarm light is on, it should be checked from the above four aspects as soon as possible to restore the product to normal working condition.

       In order to ensure that the product can work properly in various situations, YIDU has reserved a relatively large margin in the design. However, users still need to pay attention to keeping the product within the normal working range as much as possible during use to extend its service life.
